Georgina is trained in the classical method and style of the Renaissance Masters. After University, she spent three years in Italy where she continued to learn to draw, paint and sculpt. Her work has evolved to combine these disciplines with a contemporary freedom of brushwork and colour.
In her portraiture the likeness is paramount. However, understanding and getting to know her subject in order to bring out character is also essential. She aims to create a work which will stand the test of time.
She is based in Suffolk and sometimes works in Chelsea where she also has a Studio. Commissions have taken her to Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Southern Ireland and all over the U.K.
“There is nothing I find more intriguing or that gives me more pleasure than to study and paint the human face. The challenge is to make as perfect a likeness as possible into an interesting picture.”
Commissions include: H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. Lady Victoria and Mr. Simon Leatham General Sir Charles Guthrie.

In 2019 Georgina founded artEast with Henny Palmer-Tomkinson.
artEast is an exhibition space in East Anglia. They show a variety of established artists from all over the world alongside local artists.
